Pesto Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze

A classic Italian salad starring creamy bites of mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and fragrant basil leaves -- all tossed with our Traditional Basil Simply Pesto. Drizzle it with our sweetly rich balsamic glaze for a stunning contrast of flavors.

Yield: Serves 4-6

Ingredients

2 tablespoons DeLallo Traditional Basil Simply Pesto

2 tablespoons DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive OIl

1 pound bocconcini fresh mozzarella, drained

1 pound tomatoes (any variety), cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup fresh basil leaves

DeLallo Modenacrem Balsamic Glaze, for drizzling

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together pesto and olive oil.

Gently toss together mozzarella, tomatoes and basil leaves with pesto mixture in a large serving bowl.

Serve drizzled with balsamic glaze.
