Italian Sausage and Pepper Spiedini Skewers

Cook up a classic without the pot! It's simple. Just skewer up your favorite Italian sausage (spicy or mild) with colorful peppers and onions. Don't forget a side of our fresh-tomato Pomodoro Fresco Sauce!

Yield: Serves 4-6

Ingredients

1 pound sweet Italian sausage links, cut into 3 - 4 inch pieces

2 bell peppers, cut into chunks

1 large onion, cut into chunks

3 tablespoons DeLallo Extra Virgin Olive oil

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

2 cups DeLallo Pomodoro Fresco Tomato-Basil, warmed

Directions:

Thread meat, peppers and onions onto wooden skewers. Brush with olive oil. Using grill or grill pan, cook skewers, about 7 minutes per side. Once sausage is cooked through, remove from heat.

Serve sprinkled with fresh parsley and warmed Pomodoro Fresco.
