Working to Preserve Cultural Heritage & Tribal Resources

Even as the global community grows more and more technology oriented, we are finding that there are some problems around the world that cannot be solved by computers. American Indian and Alaska Native people have retained most of their cultural heritage by the verbal teaching of their ancient wisdom, from one generation to another. The world has begun to look to the American Indian and their traditional ways of living with the Earth, not simply on her, to solve many problems, including environmental, medicinal and nutritional needs. That wisdom which was once thought of as being "pagan" or "savage" is now being sought after.

Against all odds, it has survived, as the American Indian people themselves have survived. There is a rebirth amongst the American Indian youth, especially, to learn their traditional cultures, ceremonies and history, and tap into the opportunities that the old wisdoms and lifeways still provide. Our people, and the heritage that they carry in their genes and memories, are our biggest resource. Working together we can accomplish and contribute great things for the same world that once thought we no longer existed. We are still here, and our heritage is very much alive.
