OUR KIDS - CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK
Nationally, 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals provide the finest medical care, life-saving research, and preventative education to help millions of children overcome diseases and injuries of every kind.
Several major annual events, led by GIANT and MARTIN'S, support these Children's hospitals located in our own backyard. Each July, GIANT hosts the Our Kids golf outing with over 1,400 participating associates and vendors at 10 golf courses in Pennsylvania. Since its official inception in 1988, the Our Kids golf outing has raised more than $15.5 million for the Children's Miracle Network to provide medical care for special children.
During the holiday season, GIANT sells paper candles to our customers for $1 through the Candles for Kids program. We sponsor a similar program in June with paper balloons. Associates regularly volunteer at CMN hospital events including radio and television telethons.
