Why Buy Organic?

Organic Veggies

Organic food differs from conventionally-produced food in the way it is grown, handled and processed. Organic farming methods emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products that are considered organic have come from animals raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are also excluded from the organic growing process.

Only foods labeled as organic have been certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture organic standards. Look for the USDA Organic seal throughout your local TOPS.
