When someone says “exercise,” most of us would probably like to hide under the couch with a bag of cookies. But fitness doesn’t have to be a scary thought - it’s easy to add 30 minutes of physical activity to your daily routine. Make it a lifelong habit and you could significantly lower your risk of many types of cancer, including breast and colorectal cancers.
Summer is the perfect time of year to begin a whole new outlook on physical activity. More daylight hours and sunny afternoons provide a welcoming atmosphere for getting in shape. Consider the amount of time you spend each day sitting down rather than being active. Then check out the list below for some simple ideas for fitting 30 minutes of activity into your day. Remember, the 30 minutes can be broken up into 3 ten minute sessions, if necessary.
