Meatloaf should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F. Insert thermometer into center of loaf.

    INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/3 lbs. ground chuck
  • 2 slices dry bread crumbled (1/2 cup oatmeal can be substituted)
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard (or 1 tsp. prepared yellow mustard)
  • 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup for glaze

  • INSTRUCTIONS:

    Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl combine ground chuck and all other ingredients. Blend well. Press into 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Glaze with 1 Tbsp. catsup. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Drain. (Check with thermometer to be sure internal temperature is 160°F.)
